about

This one was a late arrival for this record, just weeks before the release and so what the heck... I added it, I really dig it.

lyrics

Sitting by the train tracks
counting all the sides of the painted cars that pass
held down by the shade of several pines that blend together as they hold their poses

breaking out the moonshine
feels like winter with these colors so clear and alive
there's a shimmer to the night and a breeze that makes one think of rain again

and theres no control
of moments as they go
if you just release the need to hold on to something
and let the stream take you away
and let this dream take you away

sitting by the train tracks
feels like days but only hours have passed
this melting pot of time and places and things and people are ringing in my head

about

Shelk Seattle, Washington

Hi I am Robb Benson and I started SHELK as a potential future band back in 2013. Released a full album that year on CD then many digital only basement releases have followed. Eventually became Stereo Embers but that is more of a rock and roll outfit and SHELK is now the solo indie side project (with friends at times) These basement demos are the seeds I release each year. Thanks for listening! ... more
