A New EP of home spun rock and roll songs.

My band STEREO EMBERS takes THIS STUFF (my shelk demo solo stuff) and cherry picks their faves and they then end up in our live rock and roll sets.

Many of my solo cuts will be re-recorded as a full live rock band. Yet, my band can't keep up with my writing madness. I just love to write and release songs.

With my old band Dear John Letters I put my solo songs on the real records, but Embers have such a rad band sound that I feel my solo stuff is very different.

SHELK is now my SOLO project, it is all me, aside from the occasional lyric from a dear friend, I write and record it all at home in my little studio and give it to you all direct from the source!

Hi I am Robb Benson and I started SHELK as a potential future band back in 2013. Released a full album that year on CD then many digital only basement releases have followed. Eventually became Stereo Embers but that is more of a rock and roll outfit and SHELK is now the solo indie side project (with friends at times) These basement demos are the seeds I release each year.
